Starmer’s leadership ‘on the line’ as results start to come in for UK local elections

Wall Street Journal Editor-at-Large Gerard Baker weighs in on the UK local elections as Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s popularity continues to sink.

“I think Keir Starmer’s leadership is very much on the line; we will see in the next few days whether he can survive,” Mr Baker told Sky News host James Morrow.

“He doesn’t really demonstrate any kind of political leadership … 85 per cent of the British people don’t like him according to the latest opinion polls.”
