NSW flood victims have information leaked in major AI data breach
New South Wales flood victims who applied for the state government’s home buyback scheme have had their personal information leaked to ChatGPT.
The major data breach occurred six months ago, affecting around 1,800 homeowners in the Lismore and Northern Rivers area.
An inquiry from The Daily Telegraph reveals the public servant responsible for the leak is no longer employed by the state government.
