‘We are crucifying legal owners’: Hanson blasts gun buyback scheme

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson addressed the gun buyback scheme in November, expressing concerns about its impact on legal gun owners.

“We are actually crucifying those legal gun owners here; it wasn’t the guns, it was the people behind the guns that are responsible for the Bondi massacre,” Ms Hanson told News24 Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

“The prime minister never really addressed the real issue here, and that was the men who caused the massacre.

“Stop attacking law-abiding Australians; we’ve got one of the tightest gun licences in this country.

“I have got my own gun licence, so I understand these people.”
