World leaders expected to skip major climate summit
World leaders are expected not to attend an Australian-organised UN climate change meeting in Fiji.
Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen is reportedly struggling to persuade leaders from outside the Pacific to attend the pre-COP summit on October 5, according to The Australian.
It’s despite the federal government investing more than $150 million, and months of planning by the minister.
