Why Australian women are wearing the wrong shoe size

A new study by RMIT university has found almost three quarters of Australian women are forced to wear shoe sizes that differ from their foot length, as experts say current footwear sizing systems are too limiting.

According to the study, 72 per cent of women wear a different size in the US measurement system, and 65 per cent under European sizing, with most women wearing a larger shoe size than their foot length indicated.

The researchers say this tendency to wear larger sized shoes suggests some women may be compensating for footwear that does not adequately accommodate their foot width, rather than simply choosing the wrong size. #shoesize #shoe #shoeshopping #measurement #footsize
