Tim Cook is stepping down as CEO of Apple after 15 years, during which he transformed the company into a $4 trillion tech powerhouse with products used by more than 2.5 billion people worldwide. John Ternus, who has been with Apple for 25 years and currently serves as Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering, will take over as CEO in September. Cook will transition to the role of Executive Chairman of Apple’s Board of Directors.
