‘There is work to be done’: Netanyahu casts doubt on peace claims in chilling remark
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the war with Iran is not over despite ongoing peace talks.
“I think we’ve accomplished a great deal, but it’s not over because there’s still nuclear material … there’s still enrichment sites that have to be dismantled,” Mr Netanyahu said.
“We’ve degraded a lot of it, but all of that is still there, and there’s work to be done.”
His comments appear to contradict statements made last week by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who said Operation Epic Fury had concluded, with its objectives achieved.
