This is the dramatic moment a runaway tanker truck smashed into cars as its driver leapt from the cab on a mountain road.
CCTV footage shows the fully loaded lorry rolling uncontrollably downhill and colliding with two vehicles in Yunnan, China.
A black car, which had been parked nearby, can be seen accelerating in reverse down the steep stretch of the road behind the heavy tanker on February 24.
The parked white hatchback was rammed as the lorry careered past homes along the route, while residents shouted to alert children to run inside.
In another clip, the truck is seen lying on its side, the black car is damaged at the rear, and the white hatchback is positioned at the roadside.
No one was injured in the incident.
Authorities confirmed the driver jumped clear when the vehicle lost control and escaped unharmed.
Both cars suffered varying degrees of damage. The tanker was later hoisted upright with a crane.
The police are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
