“Processes were not followed”: Optus reveals more customers raised alarm | ABC NEWS
The Optus triple zero network failure has spread to a fourth state with the telco revealing two callers in New South Wales near the South Australian border were also unable to make emergency calls.
The outage was previously linked to the death of an eight-week-old baby in South Australia, but state police now say it’s unlikely to have caused the death.
Optus is blaming human error for the outage, with CEO Stephen Rue confirming the company received an additional three customer calls warning of the issue which weren’t acted on.
