Construction of a $3.6 billion Olympic stadium at Brisbane’s Victoria Park has begun, despite opposition from Traditional Owners, environmental groups and community members.

The Queensland government has touted the new venue as a centrepiece to the 2032 Olympic Games, but Indigenous and community groups are vowing to continue their fight to protect the site.
