Families devastated over Laos poisoning charges
The federal government has slammed legal authorities in Laos for not pursuing the most serious charges over the poisoning deaths of two Australian teenagers.
Bianca Jones and Holly Morton-Bowles were backpacking through South-East Asia in late 2024, when they and four others died after drinking tainted shots at their hostel.
Their families have been told those accused will only face lesser charges of operating an illegal business and distributing dangerous goods.
