JD Vance says Gaza peace plan going ‘better than expected’ | ABC NEWS
US Vice-President JD Vance says the state of the ceasefire in Gaza is ‘better than expected’ after speaking to Israeli officials.
The Trump deputy denied suggestions he was in Israel alongside US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner to prevent Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from pulling out of the US president’s peace plan.
JD Vance called for patience during excavations for the remaining Israeli hostage bodies in Gaza, denying the necessity of a deadline for the return of all deceased captives.
Meanwhile, the World Food Program says only a third of its aid supplies are flowing into the enclave, while the Palestinian education authority says 20,000 school kids have been killed since the beginning of the war in Gaza.
