IDF clears personnel of any wrongdoing in 2024 strike that killed Australia | The World | ABC NEWS
The Israel Defense Forces has cleared its personnel of any criminal wrongdoing in the April 20-24 strike on a World Central Kitchen convoy in Gaza, where Australian woman Zomi Frankcom was killed.
The IDF said it had concluded there were serious failures which led soldiers to falsely identify a Hamas fighter was travelling in the convoy, which prompted their attack killing seven humanitarian workers.
The IDF released the findings of five major investigations all at once on Wednesday afternoon, Israel time.
The military also declared it would launch a criminal investigation into the January 20-24 killing of five year old Hind Rajab, who’s case sparked worldwide outrage.
