‘Ignoring the lived reality’: US Supreme Court blasted over birthright citizenship stance

Former Trump administration official Theo Wold says the US Supreme Court is “ignoring the lived reality” regarding birthright citizenship in America.

“If you gave birth on US soil, they would get you all your paperwork to ensure that your baby could be an American citizen,” Mr Wold told News24 Digital Presenter James Bolt.

“That really wrangled a lot of people who said, man, the Supreme Court is just obviously ignoring the lived reality on the ground.”
