Gaza’s medical crisis deepens, as Australian doctors treat ‘mass casualty after mass casualty’
Israel has ordered the indefinite closure of the only crossing between the occupied West Bank and Jordan effective from today.
While in Gaza a deepening medical crisis looms. The local health ministry warning that fuel shortages could see the shut down of all of Gaza’s remaining hospitals by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, Gold Coast general physician Dr Nada Abu Alrub and Brisbane anaesthetist Dr Saya Aziz are operating in one of Gaza’s last functioning hospitals, al-Shifa, as part of a humanitarian mission for the Palestinian Australian New Zealand Medical Association.
They’ve described ‘horrific’ conditions.
