Costume party triggers armed police response at Moore Park | 7NEWS
A 35-year-old pizza shop owner, Jacopo Mastrocinque, sparked a major police response at Moore Park’s Entertainment Quarter when members of the public mistook his fancy dress costume for a genuine threat. The man was arrested and charged with possessing an unauthorised firearm in a public place after attending a work party dressed as a hero for a heroes and villains theme, complete with a fake pistol, ballistic vest, plastic handcuffs and a badge. He was granted bail but banned from the Entertainment Quarter and required to surrender his passport, while a 39-year-old companion was also arrested on drug possession charges.
