Bondi massacre victims mourned | Gun law debate reignites | Global reaction to Hanukkah attack
There’s a sombre atmosphere at Sydney’s Bondi Beach tonight, 24 hours after it became the site of Australia’s deadliest shooting since the Port Arthur massacre.
The incident targeting an event celebrating the Jewish festival of Hanukkah, the Prime Minister calling the attack ‘an act of pure evil’.
While authorities continue multiple lines of investigation, they’re also urging calm.
Today people from all walks of life were at the site of the shooting to mourn, and to be together – recalling stories of heroism under the most frightening of circumstances.
There, a floral tribute continues to grow as members of the community take a moment to remember the victims.
