Wild scenes have erupted on the streets of Alice Springs following the arrest of Jefferson Lewis over the alleged murder of five-year-old Kumanjayi Little Baby.

He was later taken to Alice Springs Hospital, where a large crowd of Aboriginal people gathered, shouting that Mr Lewis should face “payback” and accusing police of protecting him.
