Albanese’s Palestinian ‘political gesture’ is a ‘political victory’ for Hamas
Sky News Political Contributor Chris Uhlmann has lashed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for recognising Palestinian statehood.
The Australian prime minister joins the UK and Canada in formally acknowledging a Palestinian state.
“There would be a revolution inside the Labor Party’s caucus in Australia and certainly in the United Kingdom if they had not gone down this path,” Mr Uhlmann told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“It’s a political gesture, it will shift nothing on the ground.
“But what it is being seen as by Hamas is a political victory.”
