World leaders react to Maduro’s capture | ABC NEWS
The US capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has stunned the global community, as world leaders try to make sense of its significance to international law and order.
The European Union has urged calm, restraint and a peaceful transition to democracy in Venezuela, while Spain and Latin American countries including Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, Mexico have accused Washington of setting a dangerous precedent and jeopardising the safety of civilians in its attacks on Caracas.
The UN Security Council is set to hold an emergency session to discuss the developing situation in Venezuela.
