Kristi Noem vows Maduro will ‘face the consequences’ of his crimes
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has asserted that captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro will “face the consequences” of his crimes.
Noem’s comments came during a Fox News Interview with Shannon Bream.
US forces captured the Venezuelan leader and his wife, Cilia Flores, in a large-scale raid on January 3.
Maduro is currently detained in New York, indicted with Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States.
On Saturday, the president held a press conference at Mar-a-Lago, stating that he is placing the country under temporary US control.
