Why the UAE’s decision to leave OPEC is being seen as a win for Trump


The United Arab Emirates says it plans to leave the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) next month, after almost six decades of membership.

The 12-member network currently produces 50 per cent of the world’s oil and as it’s fourth-largest contributor, the UAE produces almost 3 million barrels per day.
