Green’s leader responds to allegations of ‘concerning behaviour’ from WA senator

1 hour ago The News Room

Just a few weeks into the top job, Greens leader David Shoebridge has had to respond to suggestions the party has turned a blind eye to misconduct against women.

Senator Jordon Steele-John has rejected allegations that he made inappropriate comments towards women and has taken leave from the Greens party room.

Shoebridge denies he knew about historic complaints about the Western Australian senator between 2017 and 2025 until a letter from seven Greens members demanding an investigation into “concerning behaviour” landed on his desk this week.
