Trump’s Greenland post sparks attention following high-level Arctic diplomacy push
US President Donald Trump has shared an image on his Truth Social account showing himself holding Greenland’s mountainous landscape.
The post comes after a three-day visit to Greenland by President Trump’s special envoy to the Arctic territory, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry.
Despite tensions, Greenland’s Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen says he had a constructive meeting with the US official.
Mr Landry’s trip drew protests in Nuuk, where hundreds gathered outside a newly opened US consulate.
