ASPI external contributor Mark Watson says US President Donald Trump’s deployment of troops in Iran would lose him credibility among Americans.

“There is a credibility issue here,” Mr Watson told News24.

“He can’t use every capability at his disposal, politically.

“While there might be an argument for strategic bombing or putting ground forces into the war, that would just be the end of his credibility with the American people.”
