Trump previews White House UFC fight on his birthday

US President Donald Trump will celebrate his birthday on 14 June by hosting a free Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fight in front of the White House, adding that he is “a big sports fan”.

According to Trump, the mixed martial arts event will be held on the South Lawn inside a temporary 4,000-seat stadium to be constructed on the grounds.

The date also marks Flag Day, an occasion commemorating the adoption of the US flag in 1777.
