Trump backs Lindsey Graham’s sister to permanently take South Carolina Senate seat
US Election Expert Remy Numa says US President Donald Trump has thrown his support behind Darline Graham to succeed her late brother.
“We saw this endorsement sort of unfold in two stages this week,” Mr Numa told Sky News Australia.
“Trump endorsed Lindsey Graham’s sister, Darline, to become the new interim senator for South Carolina; that’s an appointed position for the governor.
“What we also saw from Trump this week was an endorsement for her to become the permanent senator for South Carolina.
“She’s very likely to win that primary and also that general election in November.”
