Trump and Putinto hold peace talks in Budapest | Crowds greet freed Israeli hostages arriving home

US President Donald Trump is set to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin two months after their last meeting in Alaska.

Following a two hour phone call with Mr Putin, the president announced a summit will take place in Budapest in two weeks to attempt to find a way to end the war in Ukraine.

Israel is refusing to commit to when the Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza will reopen, as Palestinians await a much-needed aid surge.

The foreign minister saying it could open on Sunday, but it is not clear whether aid convoys will be permitted entry.
