Tributes flow as legendary Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle dies aged 92
India’s Asha Bhosle, whose voice defined Bollywood music through the 1970s and 80s, has died at the age of 92 in Mumbai, drawing widespread tributes.
Known for her versatile repertoire and high-energy singing in countless Bollywood movies, Bhosle was famous for generations throughout India.
She also gained global acclaim and collaborated with international artists including UK singer Boy George, and inspired 90s British band Cornershop’s hit track Brimful of Asha.
