‘Too divisive’: Outrage as mayor removes tribute to murdered Ukrainian refugee

Sky News host James Morrow unleashes on Providence Mayor Brett Smiley over the removal of a memorial for murdered Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska.

“Brett Smiley said no way, take it down, it’s just too divisive. Which is code for, this was a Black-on-White crime that became a flashpoint for discussions about failed criminal justice policies,” Mr Morrow said.

“They’re just mad about this because Trump championed Iryna’s case at the State of the Union.

“But it’s worth noting that Providence has had no trouble celebrating other divisive causes. Remember George Floyd?”
