Tony Mundine’s family pays tribute to the late champion
The family of boxing great Tony Mundine OAM has spoken publicly for the first time since his death at a service held in inner-city Sydney, describing the proud Bundjalung man as a mentor “who offered a home away from home for many”.
The Bundjalung boxing legend, who died on Sunday aged 75, was a champion who became the first Australian to fight in four different weight divisions.
He was remembered not only for his achievements in sport but also for his dedication to family and community.
