Thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters march across New York as Netanyahu takes the UN stage
As dozens of ministers and diplomats from across the globe left their seats in a coordinated act of protest against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the UN General Assembly, thousands of pro-Palestinian protesters marched in New York against Israel’s continuing war in Gaza.
Relatives of hostages taken on October 7 also organised a smaller demonstration, demanding an end to the war and the release of hostages.
Orna Neutra, whose son Omer was killed on October 7 serving with the IDF and whose body remains in Gaza, said it’s time “for courageous leadership” to take over.
“End the war, bring them back, end the suffering,” she said.
