The blaze broke out around 9:00 PM local time on the upper levels, quickly engulfing the hotel’s rooftop restaurant and bar area. Fueled by strong coastal winds, thick, acrid smoke instantly flooded the corridors and stairwells below, stranding terrified guests who were unable to find an escape route.
Emergency crews and firefighters rushed to the scene, battling the intense flames for over an hour to prevent the fire from entirely destroying the 178 occupied guest rooms. First responders conducted dramatic, floor-by-floor rescue sweeps, successfully evacuating all guests to safety. Multiple injuries have been reported, with victims treated on-site by paramedics for severe smoke inhalation and burns.
