The European Union has deployed planes to battle out-of-control wildfires in southern Europe, which have forced communities to evacuate.
Four aircraft have been dispatched to combat blazes west of the Spanish capital of Madrid, while three others were sent to southern France.
French President Emmanuel Macron has described the situation as ‘extremely tense’, as Croatia, Portugal, the Czech Republic and Slovakia are expected to send help.
