Tennis legend reveals how her ‘$60 million fortune vanished’
Sky News host Rita Panahi details how former world number one Arantxa Sanchez Vicario has opened up about losing her wealth after years at the top of tennis.
“Former Women’s Number One Tennis player Arantxa Sanchez Vicario has lifted the lid on how her former $60 million fortune vanished before her eyes,” Ms Panahi said.
“In an interview with Spanish TV, Sanchez Vicario explained her ex-husband, Josep Santa-cana, is the reason for her demise.
“Sanchez Vicario and Santa-cana went to trial in 2023 accused of hiding assets in order to avoid paying back a debt owed to the Bank of Luxembourg.
“She was handed a suspended two-year prison sentence and ordered to pay back over $1 million worth of debts.”
