‘Doctor Jihad’s’ family ‘devastated’ by his decision to join the caliphate
The Australian’s Mohammad Alfares says Tareq Kamleh, more commonly known as ‘Doctor Jihad ’, left his family “devastated” when he left Australia to join the caliphate.
“My colleague Paul Garvey had the opportunity to sit down with the father yesterday, and he spoke about the hurt, the devastation, that they went through because they raised a doctor,” Mr Alfares told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“They were very proud of him.
“So for him to betray them and travel into the caliphate with a bloodthirsty terrorist organisation was devastating for them.
“And they’re still very much suffering to this day about this decision.”
