Tennessee locals petition to rename Nashville Airport after Dolly Parton
Locals in Tennessee are petitioning to rename Nashville International Airport after the late Dolly Parton.
The campaign has reached more than 100,000 signatures.
Nashville’s Airport is currently named in honour of Colonel Harry Smith, a veteran who helped establish the original airfield.
Public figures like singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow and state representative Todd Warner have both shared their support for the rebranding.
