Ten-year-old dramatically rescued from massive surf by teenage lifesaver
A 16-year-old lifesaver pulled a 10-year-old beachgoer from eight-to-ten-foot waves after seemingly calm waters suddenly swelled.
A second lifeguard joined the rescue, helping to bring the boy to the beach without any injuries.
Santa Cruz lifesavers performed 34 rescues over the weekend, according to a California State Parks spokesperson.
