Ben Carroll being called out for story about daughter ‘won’t do long term damage’

Veteran broadcaster Neil Mitchell says new Victoria Premier Ben Carroll using his own daughter in a story to defend former premier Jacinta Allan won’t do damage to his integrity, despite pressure from the opposition.

Mr Mitchell told News24 “how can Victorians trust a bloke who lies to his own daughter?”

“I think we expect politicians to do that, that’s part of the sadness,” he said.

“That won’t do long term damage.”
