‘Staying silent’: Are younger generations too sensitive for feedback?
Liberal Waverley Councillor Michelle Stephenson warns senior doctors are becoming reluctant to give Gen Z colleagues critical feedback, fearing the consequences of challenging younger workers.
“Senior doctors are now staying silent on the shortcomings of Gen Z because they are worried that they’re not going to accept the good feedback,” Ms Stephenson said.
“Teachers hesitate over disciplining students, managers agonise over performance reviews, academics become circumspect in challenging colleagues.”
