It’s been 60 years since the strike on a Northern Territory cattle station sparked the Aboriginal land rights movement.

Hundreds of people gathered in the remote community of Kalkarindji, about 600 kilometres south-west of Darwin, to celebrate the moment the Gurindji people took a stand for fair pay and conditions — and ended up achieving something much greater, with the important moment going down in history as the ‘Wave Hill Walk-Off’.
