‘Smashing the economy’: Jim Chalmers blasted after interest rates rise again

Sky News host Andrew Bolt blasts Treasurer Jim Chalmers for “smashing the economy” following the RBA’s decision to lift the cash rate to 3.85 per cent from 3.6 per cent.

“Today really exposed our cocky Treasurer Jim Chalmers; today showed that, yes, the Opposition is hopeless … but Chalmers is meanwhile smashing the economy,” Mr Bolt said.

“The Reserve Bank raised interest rates for the first time in more than two years … because inflation is now on the rise again.

“This is a scandal, it’s an indictment of Jim Chalmers and of the government and of the Reserve Bank as well.”
