Richard Marles privately admits Labor’s Israel policy ‘flawed’ despite Albanese’s claims

News24 host Danica De Giorgio says Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles has privately admitted Labor’s Israel policy is “flawed” despite Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s assertion it is balanced.

“Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles has privately admitted the wording of the Israel-Palestine section of Labor’s new policy platform was flawed despite the PM claiming they got the balance right,” Ms De Giorgio said.

“Demands on Hamas and the Palestinian Authority were controversially dropped in the final draft ahead of Labor’s 50th national conference as part of a raft of changes that increased criticisms of Israel with those words, endorsed, unchanged by 400 delegates at the event.”
