RBA holds rates as February cut unlikely | 7NEWS

The Reserve Bank of Australia has held interest rates at 3.6% at its final meeting of the year, with borrowers unlikely to see any cuts until February at the earliest. RBA Governor Michele Bullock indicated the board didn’t consider rate cuts and discussed circumstances that might require rate rises if inflation remains persistent above the target range. Headline inflation is not expected to fall below 3% for another 12 months, influenced by electricity rebate fluctuations.
