‘Put yourself in shape, you look like hell’: Trump criticises reporter

58 minutes ago The News Room

US President Donald Trump has called a journalist “disgusting” and “sick after being asked why he wasn’t going to Kansas to rally for Republican Senator Roger Marshall — who is in a competitive re-election race — and if he was getting “sick of travelling”.

Trump hurled the insults after finishing a campaign rally in South Carolina, telling the Reuters reporter: “Put yourself in shape, you look like hell”.

“You’ve been following me for two weeks, I feel perfect,” Trump said before walking away.

In the lead-up to the 3 November vote, polling has placed Trump’s approval rating at its lowest level in his second term.
