Pope Leo ‘strikes a nerve’ with Donald Trump over Iran war remarks

Sky News contributor Kosha Gada claims Pope Leo’s criticism of the war in Iran struck a nerve with US President Donald Trump.

“Trump does punch back, he’s not shy to punch back at anybody from a journalist all the way to, as we’re seeing here, the Pope,” Ms Gada told Sky News Australia.

“When the Pope comes in and uses his platform … obviously as a Pope, he is against war, I think that’s sort of hitting a specific nerve for Trump, given the fact that he’s at odds with most of the electorate right now in the US.”
