Geelong refinery fire raises ‘concern’ over Australia’s fuel resilience
CIS Director of Energy Research Aidan Morrison claims the oil refinery fire in Geelong is a “concern” for Australia.
“The refinement capacity that we actually have is just almost too small, particularly for diesel, to really matter in this instance,” Mr Morrison told Sky News host Caleb Bond.
“This is a concern, it’s a worry, but it wouldn’t be anything like as big a worry as missing out on the next shipment of oil from a major importer.”
