Political violence spirals after years of Trump being labelled ‘Hitler’
US Pollster Nicholas Weinstein highlights the rise of “political violence” against Republican figures, leading to the assassination of Charlie Kirk and multiple attempted assassinations of US President Donald Trump.
“For eight years, they’ve compared President Trump to Hitler, and they’ve effectively said Republicans are fair targets because of their political beliefs,” Mr Weinstein told Sky News Digital Presenter Gabriella Power.
“It’s certainly what’s spurred the two assassination attempts on Trump.
“Political violence is something that he left is going to have to take seriously.”
