Political elite have ignored Australians as One Nation’s legitimacy rises

Sky News Digital Presenter James Bolt discusses the rise of One Nation and how the political elite have ignored the Australian population on immigration, social cohesion, and the cost of living.

“One Nation’s rise has come off the back of the political elite ignoring vast sways of the Australian population,” Mr Bolt told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.

“Their concerns on immigration are too uncomfortable to think about for the elite, concerns about social cohesion, that’s way too difficult, and the cost of living crisis just gets boring for these people to talk about.

“One Nation has been loud on all of those issues, and people have flocked to the one party that consistently talks about the issues that people want to discuss.”
