Hundreds of passengers have been stranded in Sicily as Mount Etna continues to erupt.
Europe’s largest and most active volcano began spewing lava on Tuesday, causing travel havoc for those who were visiting the popular island.
The airport is expected to remain closed for the rest of the day, while flights in and out of Malta have also been impacted.
